Cricket celebrated its new music service, Muve Music, reaching 100,000 customers in only five months with a special event this past Sunday at its Good Hope store in Washington, DC featuring an appearance by Island Def Jam Recording artist Big Sean.
Muve Music customer Debbie Taylor of Washington, DC was randomly selected as being emblematic of Cricket’s 100,000th Muve Music customer. Debbie and two of her children got to spend personal time with Big Sean at the Cricket store event and were guests of Cricket, Muve Music and Big Sean at Sunday’s concert at Columbia Post Pavilion featuring Big Sean and other top artists including Wiz Khalifa and Mac Miller. In addition, Ms. Taylor and her children received one year’s Muve Music service free, Cricket Android Muve Music phones when they are launched later this year, authentic Muve Music Skullcandy headphones, a Flip camera and assorted Cricket merchandise.
More than 300 fans turned out at the Good Hope store to meet Big Sean and have their pictures taken with the G.O.O.D. Music and Island Def Jam recording artist. 2011 has been a breakout year for Big Sean as his album Finally Famous debuted on the Billboard charts at number three in June. His music is prominently featured on the Muve Music service that is included in a $55 per month service plan that includes unlimited nationwide talk, text, web and unlimited music (full track downloads, ringtones and ringback tones).
