Getting Your USB Modem Ready:

Installing the SIM/USIM Card:

1. Insert the SIM/USIM card into the side of the USB modem.

Inserting the MicroSD Card:

1. Push the button on the modem up.
2. Insert the MicroSD card into the corresponding card slots.
3. Push the button down.

• Note: The MicroSD card is an optional accessory.
  
• Ensure that the beveled edge of the SIM/USIM card is properly aligned with that of the SIM/USIM card slot and the MicroSD card is inserted according to the direction as labeledon the MicroSD card slot.
• Do not remove the MicroSD or SIM/USIM card when the card is in use. Otherwise, the card as well as your USB Mode may get damaged and the data stored on the card may be corrupted.

• Mac OS X 10.5 to 10.7 with latest upgrades

To install and run the software for your USB modem, these minimum system resources are required:

• Display Resoltuion 800 x 600 or above
• Disk Space: 100MB
• RAM: 128MB for Windows XP; 512MB for Mac OS 10.5; 1GB for Windows Vista, Windows 7 (32-bit) or Mac OS 10.6; 2GB for Windows 7 (64-bit) and Mac OS 10.7

System Requirements for SMS Delivery Service for Usage Alerts and Bill Notification:

• Windows XP SP2/SP3, Windows 7 (32 bit & 64 bit)
• Mac OS X 10.7 with latest upgrades

Installation Instructions

Note: Make sure no network or other modem/WiFi connection is active before connecting to Cricket 4G Mobile Data. The default PIN is 0000. Please refer to user manual (Tools) for detailed PIN operations.

Windows Setup Instructions

1. Plug the USB modem into the USB port of your PC.
2. Close any Windows programs that are running and plug the USB Modem into the USB port of your computer.
3. The OS automatically detects and recognizes the new hardware and starts the installation wizard. If the auto-run program does not respond, go to my computer, select the “Cricket” drive and double-click AutoRun.exe to run the program.
4. Click Next.
5. License Agreement. Click I Agree.
6. Click Next, or click Browse to select a location.
7. Click Install.
8. After the program is installed, click Finish.
9. Double-click Cricket 4G Mobile Data Boltz icon on desktop.
10. Notice Activation Wizard will appear and start the activation automatically.
11. After activation is complete, please click Finish to reset the USB Modem. If you fail to activate, you can select Manual Activation in the Activation Wizard dialog box. See the electronic user manual for detail.
12. Click Connect button to connect to the Cricket 4G Mobile Data service.

Mac OS X Setup Instructions

1. Close any MAC applications that are running and plug the USB Modem into the USB port of your computer.
2. The OS automatically detects and recognizes the new hardware and place the Cricket icon on screen. Double-click Cricket 4G Mobile Data Boltz icon to launch the installation.
3. Click Continue.
4. License Agreement. Click Continue.
5. Click Agree.
6. Select the destination then click Install.
7. If presented with an Authenticate dialog box, enter the Name Password used to log into your computer then click OK.
8. After the program is installed, click Close.
9. Double-click Cricket 4G Mobile Data Boltz icon on desktop.
10. Notice Activation Wizard will appear and start the activation automatically.
11. After activation is complete, please click Finish to reset the USB Modem. If you fail to activate, you can select Manual Activation in the Activation Wizard dialog box. See the electronic user manual for detail.
12. Click Connect button to connect to the Cricket 4G Mobile Data service.

Removing USB Modem from PC- Warning:

Do not eject the USB modem from your PC until you have followed the Safely Remove Hardware instructions for proper removal. Removing the modem improperly may cause a fatal error on your PC.

1. Double-click on the Safely Remove Hardware icon in the system tray.
2. Select “Huawei Mobile Connect – Network Card” from the Safely Remove Hardware window and click Stop.
3. Confirm the device to be stopped and click OK.
4. A Safely Remove Hardware message appears, click Close.
5. Remove the USB modem from your computer. When removing your modem, always grip it from the sides.
