When tethering activities are detected, Cricket will attempt to notify the customer by redirecting them to a web page with instructions on how to purchase tethering. Additionally, all or part of the customer’s data service may be interrupted for a period of time, and Cricket can terminate service completely, in accordance with Terms and Conditions of Service.
Cricket will provide customer care support for devices sold by Cricket, with Android OS 2.2 or newer, having the “USB tethering” or “Portable Wi-Fi hotspot” settings enabled by the device manufacturer.
If you use a third-party application and/or non-supported device, you can still purchase Cricket Tethering, however you will need to contact the author of the application or manufacturer of the device for support.
Cricket Tethering can be purchased as an add-on to your current rate plan for $10/month. You can add it via the My Account section on mycricket.com, or you can call Cricket Customer Care at 1-800-CRICKET.
Cricket Tethering can be easily removed from your account via the My Account section on mycricket.com, or by calling Cricket Customer Care at 1-800-CRICKET.

Cricket Tethering lets you use your phone as a modem, or mobile hotspot, to share its Internet connection with other Internet-ready devices, such as laptops, tablets, mp3 players, gaming systems, and other connected devices via USB or Wi-Fi. Cricket allows tethering when you have a capable rate plan or feature. By adding Cricket Tethering to your service, Cricket will allow the sharing of data on your applicable line of service. Most phones are not able to process 3G data, and phone calls, simultaneously. You will be able to receive calls while tethering, however answering that call, or initiating one yourself, will interrupt your data access.
