Within the Nationwide Talk and Text Coverage Area, all incoming calls deplete minutes from the included minutes in the PAYGo rate plan. Outgoing calls will also deplete minutes from the rate plan. International calls and directory assistance carry a premium charge that requires funds in your PAYGo account in addition to depleting minutes from the rate plan.
The following calls that will not deplete from the minutes included in your plan: a call that leaves a message in your voicemail. Also calls to Cricket at 611, *PAY, 1-800-Cricket or confirmation auto top-up enrollment will not deplete minutes included in your PAYGo rate plan.
Roaming calls made or received outside the Nationwide Talk and Text Coverage Area will not deplete minutes included in your rate plan, but will require funds in your PAYGo account balance for the per minute rate.
Yes. If you use all of the minutes included in your Cricket PAYGo monthly plan you can change plans to another monthly plan with more included minutes. Your monthly service end-date will not change and the total number of included minutes will increase to the included number of minutes in your new plan.
When you run out of the minutes included with your monthly plan, you will be charged $.05 per minute for each additional minute of use for local and domestic long distance calling.
If you want to use a feature that isn’t included in your current plan you can switch plans at any time. If you don’t think you’ll use the feature very often, you can be charged on a per use or per minute basis.

Voicemail is included with all Cricket PAYGo plans. Calling voicemail from your Cricket PAYGo phone will be treated as any other outgoing call (for Cricket PAYGo daily plans, this call will trigger a daily access fee if it’s your first activity of the day). There is no charge to check voicemail from another phone line.
Incoming messages are free for Cricket PAYGo customers. All Cricket PAYGo plans, except the $1 per day plan, include unlimited outgoing text and pix with payment of the access fee. With the $1 per day plan, each outbound message is just 10¢ per recipient (that means if you send a single message to five people, you’ll be charged for five messages, or 50¢), plus the daily access fee. If you’re on the $1 per day plan and send a lot of text messages, you may want to use *PAY to change to the $2 per day plan. For all daily plans, sending a message will trigger your daily access fee if it’s the first activity of the day.

Nationwide Talk & Text Coverage (which allows you to use Cricket service outside of your Home Coverage Area without incurring roaming costs) is included with all Cricket PAYGo plans, except the $1 per day plan. Based on the coverage provided with your service plan, if you are in a Cricket roaming coverage area, you’ll see a roaming indicator on your phone and we'll play a message before connecting your call. Roaming rates will apply (25¢ per minute) and not all features on all phones are available while roaming. Normal plan access fees apply when you use your phone in any unlimited or roaming coverage area.
If you hear a pre-call roaming message when you dial a number, this message indicates that you are roaming. You will not be charged for roaming if you hang up when you hear the Cricket roaming message or allow an incoming call to go to voicemail.
To prevent roaming charges entirely, change your phone settings to “Home Only” (refer to your owner’s manual for instructions to change the settings on your phone). Please remember to change your phone settings back to “Automatic” or “Scan” if you need to use your phone while outside of Cricket’s Home Coverage Area.
While in the Nationwide Talk & Text Coverage Area, you will not hear the pre-call roaming announcement, and you will not need additional funds to place or receive calls.
All of your voice features will work in your Nationwide Talk & Text Coverage Area, including voicemail, caller ID, call waiting, and three-way calling. You will also be able to dial *611 for Cricket Customer Care, *PAY to add funds to your Cricket PAYGo account, and 911 for emergency services. All calls charged per minute are rounded up to the next whole minute. For example, a call that lasts four minutes and one second will be rounded to five minutes.
Your call will be interrupted when we are unable to charge your account for the next whole minute. We’ll play a message explaining why your call was interrupted and give you the option to connect to *PAY. Just top-up and then redial your call.
If your plan does not include unlimited Directory Assistance, calls to 411 Directory Assistance will cost $1 per call in addition to your access fee and any applicable roaming fees.
