Once you have installed the Cricket Broadband software and connected to the Internet, you will be redirected to an account setup portal. Each screen will gather basic information that we need to create your account, collect your payment, and get you online. Once you complete the account setup, you’ll be able to surf anywhere you like on the Internet.
You can pay for Cricket Broadband with check, cash, top-up cards, and credit/debit cards. The easiest way to process a payment is through My Account.The below table shows which forms of payment are available:
When payment is due or past due, Cricket Broadband will alert you by directing you to a payment webpage. Once a minimum payment is made, you’ll be able to surf the Internet again without interruption. It’s important to make payments on time in order to prevent service interruption.

Cricket Broadband gives you unlimited usage of the Internet every month. We’ll never charge you an overage for your usage. Throughput speed may be limited if usage adversely impacts our network, service levels or exceeds 10 GB per month on the $50/mo plan.
New customers receive 2 days of free service prior to giving you unlimited access to the Internet. Once you’ve used those two days, payment is needed to continue accessing the internet.
If your account was recently cancelled, all you need to do is connect to the Internet with Cricket Broadband. When you open your web browser, you’ll be taken to a webpage where you can make a payment to get your account going again. If you aren’t immediately taken to a webpage, give us a call at 1-800-Cricket.
Modems sold in Walmart are eligible for the $50 unlimited monthly rate plan. There are no additional service fees, activation fees, or overages. You will pay exactly $50 for one month of service and have unlimited usage within Cricket Broadband coverage areas across the country.
Modems purchased at Walmart can only be returned to Walmart per Walmart’s return policy. See a Walmart store for details. Cricket Full Service Retail Stores and Authorized dealers will not accept returns for modems purchased in Walmart.
The Cricket A600 modem sold in Walmart comes with a 24-month Limited Warranty, detailed below:
Thank you for the opportunity to service your internet service needs. The broadband data modem is covered by a Limited Warranty. If you are experiencing problems with your broadband data modem you may return it to a Cricket corporate-owned store and Cricket will determine if the problem is covered by the Limited Warranty. If Cricket determines that the problem is covered by the Limited Warranty, Cricket will repair and return your broadband data modem or issue you a refurbished broadband data modem. You may be responsible for shipping charges and you may be without your broadband data modem for 5 to 7 weeks.
As a service to you, Cricket has a Warranty Exchange Program which allows you to receive a replacement broadband data modem, for a fee, while Cricket is determining if your broadband data modem is covered by the Limited Warranty.
All warranty modem replacements require a service fee, as described below. As part of this value added service, Cricket will replace your modem with a factory refurbished modem. The replacement modem comes with a 90 day warranty and, if applicable, the warranty may be extended to cover the remaining warranty period of your original in-warranty modem.
The Warranty Exchange Program fee is $45, $10 of which is non-refundable. If Cricket determines the problem with the broadband data modem is covered by Limited Warranty, Cricket will credit your account back $35.00; this process takes approximately 3 weeks.
If Cricket determines the problem with the broadband data modem is not covered by the Limited Warranty, the $35.00 will not be refunded. In either case your original broadband data modem will not be returned to you and becomes the property of Cricket.
The $50 monthly unlimited plan includes unlimited service for one calendar month. Cricket Broadband is a prepaid service. You pay in advance for each month of service. When you make your first payment, you’re next payment is due on the same date, exactly one month later. Your payment due date can be seen by logging into My Account. If payment is not received by the date it is due, your service may be interrupted and all remaining funds may be lost. Always check My Account for the latest due date to avoid service interruption.
