Yes. You can use our high-speed wireless Internet service on as many different computers as you want. After downloading the software onto each computer, plug in the modem, connect via the Connection Manager and you’ll be online. Remember, the modem works with only one computer at a time.
It’s as easy and as quick as Plug. Click. Connect. Plug your modem into the USB port on your computer. Click and follow the quick step by step install wizards and Connect by clicking the “connect” button in your Connection Manager.
Yes. Cricket Broadband works with all computers that have a standard USB port. Both desktop and/or laptop computers work with our fast 3G Internet service. And you may use your modem/service on as many computers as you need too, once you have downloaded the software onto the computer (keep in mind, the modem will work with only one computer at a time).
If you have Windows 2000, Windows XP, Vista 32 bit or 64 bit (specific modems may not work with Vista 64-bit) or Windows 7 Cricket Broadband will work. As part of the transition to Windows 7 support, some modems will require a software upgrade. Please contact 1-800-CRICKET to determine if your modem needs to be updated.
Specific Cricket Broadband modems are compatible with certain Mac operating systems.
-The Cricket A600 modem is compatible with Mac OS X Panther (10.3.9+), Mac OS X Tiger (10.4+), and Mac OS X Leopard (10.5+).
-The UM185C modem is compatible with Mac OS X Tiger (10.4+) and Mac OS X Leopard (10.5+).
Cricket Broadband Internet service and the Cricket USB wireless modems will work on any desktop and/or laptop computer with a USB port. Cricket Broadband works on Windows 2000, Windows XP and Vista 32 & 64 bit, as well as with certain Mac operating systems. At this time, Cricket Broadband does not support Linux.
