My Android is getting slower, what can I do?
Your smartphone is very much like a mini-portable computer. It has limited storage. For this reason, it is good to perform spring cleaning on your Android device from time to time. Just follow these steps below.
#1 Delete your old text messages
- Click on the Message icon
- Click on “Settings”
- Under “Storage “Settings”” make sure the “Delete Old Messages” box
- Set your Text and Multimedia message limit to your specifications
- This will be automatic from now on. If there are important messages to keep you will need to lock the message to prevent deleting automatically

#2 Clear the cache from your apps and browser. Cache files are temporary files created by your apps. They take up a lot of storage over time.
- Click on “Settings”
- Click on “Applications”
- Click on “Storage Use”
- Click on each application
- Click on “Clear Cache” DO NOT CLICK ON CLEAR DATA

#3 Delete Apps you no longer use/need. Have you downloaded the latest greatest game or app and find that you no longer use it? Get rid of it!
- Click on “Settings”
- Click on “Applications”
- Click on “Manage Applications”
- Click on “All” (at the top)
- Click on the Application you want to uninstall
- Click on “Uninstall” (in the upper right)
- Note: some applications come prepackaged with your phone and may not be able to be uninstalled

#4 Move Apps to your SD card. All apps are not eligible to be moved to your SD card, but some are and this can save you valuable space. To do this, just follow the instructions below.
- Click on “Settings”
- Click on “Applications”
- Click on “Manage Applications”
- Click on the application you want to move
- Click on “Move to SD card” (if it is greyed out, it is not able to be moved)
