Quick Start Instructions

Activating your Motorola V265 phone

To start your Cricket service, just follow these easy instructions:

  1. Charge your battery overnight.
  2. Read these instructions and have a pen ready before you call to set up service.
  3. If you have signed up for Cricket service, a valid Social Security or Driver’s License Number will be required to activate your phone. Please have this information ready when you call to activate your phone.
  4. Once your battery is charged, call 1-800-CRICKET from a different phone.
  5. A Cricket representative will give you your new Cricket phone number. Please write this number in the green box on the inside of this brochure for future reference.
  6. Program your Cricket phone number into your Cricket phone using the instructions on the following page.

Programming Your PhoneMotorola v265 Instructions

  1. Turn on your phone using the (RED POWER/END) button
  2. To program your phone, press *228 SND and listen for instructions.
  3. If your phone fails to program over the air, please refer to the keypad instructions below.
  4. From the Main Screen enter 74663# then quickly press the center Menu button two times
  5. You will see ENTER SUBSIDY CODE
  6. Enter 333333 (3 six times)
  7. Press the right button to select OK
  8. You will see the USER ACTIVATION Screen
  9. Press the right button to choose CHANGE for MIN
  10. Press the CLR key for 4 seconds to erase all numbers in the field
  11. Enter your new 10-digit Cricket Mobile ID Number (MIN)
  12. Press the right button to select OK
  13. Arrow down twice to the MDN field
  14. Press the right button to choose CHANGE for MDN
  15. Press the CLR key for 4 seconds to erase all numbers in the field
  16. Enter your new 10- digit Cricket Phone Number (MDN)
  17. Press the right button to select OK
  18. Press the left button to select DONE. DO NOT ALTER ANY OTHER VALUES.
  19. Press the left button to select EXIT – Your phone will reset
