Quick Start Instructions

To start your Cricket service, just follow these easy instructions:

  1. Charge your battery overnight.
  2. Read these instructions and have a pen ready before you call to set up service.
  3. If you have signed up for Cricket service, a valid Social Security or Driver's License Number will be required to activate your Cricket phone by Nokia.  Please have this information ready when you call to activate your Cricket phone by Nokia.
  4. Once your battery is charged, call 1-800-CRICKET from a different phone.
  5. A Cricket representative will give you your new Cricket phone number.  Please write this number down for future reference.
  6. Program your Cricket phone number into your Nokia 6165i phone using the instructions on the following page.

  1. Turn your Cricket phone by Nokia ON and enter the Programming Access Code:
    1. Please enter *#639# (*#NEW#) for NAM Programming
    2. You will be prompted to enter the Service prog. code:
    3. Please enter 333333 (3 six times) and press [OK].
  2. Enter "My number" (MDN): (User's 10 Digit Phone Number) and Press [OK]
  3. Enter "Mobile ID number" (MIN): (User's 10 Digit Phone Number) and Press [OK].
  4. Enter the 1 to 5 Digit SID and press [OK].
  5. Programming is complete!  Selecting "Save" will display a confirmation note, "Edit" will return to the first menu option and "Discard" will exit the provisioning session without saving any entered data.
