This Veteran’s Day Cricket says “Thank You” to Valley Veterans
PHOENIX – November 3, 2006 – Cricket Communications, Inc., a leading provider of unlimited wireless services, is saluting the Valley’s veterans this month. Whether by phone, text message, voice-mail or in person, Cricket is encouraging everyone to take the time this Veteran’s Day to thank those who serve America. Cricket’s way of saying thank you is by offering 90-days of FREE unlimited wireless service to Valley veterans who purchase or re-activate a Cricket phone.
“We join the rest of our country in support of our veterans and local heroes who have sacrificed for our freedom,” said Dennis Maguire, area general manager for Cricket in Phoenix. “This is our way of giving back to our community to show our support.”
Arizona is home to over 600,000 veterans, half of whom live in Maricopa County, and all of whom are invited to enjoy FREE unlimited wireless service. To take advantage of this offer, veterans need only to show their military ID at any Cricket store in the Valley.
In addition to offering free unlimited wireless service, Cricket is celebrating Veteran’s Day by sponsoring KOOL FM’s “Thank You for Serving” campaign which gathers supplies to be sent overseas to U.S. troops. In addition to collecting donations for U.S. soldiers, “Thank You for Serving” also includes the Phoenix Veteran’s Day Parade on Saturday, Nov. 11, in which Cricket has entered a patriotic float.
