Success Story of Local Cricket Employee Proves Hard Word, Dedication Pay Off
DAYTON ― August 12, 2008― Chandra Gentry is a true testament of how dedication and hard work are the keys to success in the workforce. Gentry joined Cricket seven years ago as a sales representative in its Fairfield store and worked hard to advance through the organization. Her efforts have been recognized and rewarded, Gentry has recently been named indirect account manager.
Gentry demonstrated a strong work ethic and energetic personality as a retail sales representative and was promoted to assistant store manager in 2004. She later became the store manager. Because of her excellent track record as a store manager, she was offered the opportunity to manage a busier store location, and later managed two stores simultaneously. After proving her strong leadership and organizational skills in this position for 2 years, she was recently promoted to indirect account manager out of Cricket’s Dayton office.
In her new role Gentry oversees 20 of the area’s 50 independently owned and operated Cricket dealers. Her general responsibilities are to work with the business owners to run their stores optimally, collaborating with these dealer partners to develop, measure, and increase business in her assigned territory.
“Cricket has really provided me with unlimited opportunities for growth,” says Gentry. “I’m looking forward to the next step in my career with this great company.”
