Rafael Gomez Joins Cricket as East Tennessee District Director
KNOXVILLE – November 19, 2007 – Rafael Gomez has joined Cricket Communications Inc, a leading provider of unlimited wireless services, as district director for East Tennessee. In his new position, he will oversee Cricket operations in Knoxville and Chattanooga.
“Knoxville and Chattanooga are important markets to us – Chattanooga was our first market, as a matter of fact – and it’s imperative to have a strong district director in place to cultivate our current growth opportunities and ensure future success,” said Jane Hutson, Cricket area general manager. “Rafael’s managerial skills and experience, coupled with his bilingualism, make him an impressive addition to the Cricket team in East Tennessee.”
Gomez has more than seven years experience in the telecommunications industry. He has held several managerial positions, most recently retail sales manager, managing 12 retail stores in Kentucky and Indiana.
“Cricket is establishing itself as a national wireless competitor by taking its simple formula – affordable, unlimited wireless without contracts – to a broader demographic with new products and services, including roaming, which allows Cricket customers to use their phones virtually anywhere in the United States,” said Gomez. “I’m excited to join Cricket and be part of its success as we continue to grow in Knoxville and Chattanooga.”
Gomez earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Indiana University and is fluent in both English and Spanish.
