Martin Bayless Free Football Camp Returns to Dayton on June 7, 2009

DAYTON – May 11, 2009 – As an annual sponsor of the Martin Bayless Football Camp in Dayton, Cricket Communications, Inc, a leading provider of unlimited wireless services, is pleased to announce the details of the 24th annual free event. The 2009 camp will be held at Welcome Stadium on Sunday, June 7, 2009 and will be open to boys and girls in grades 3-12 at no charge.

Camp attendees will learn about teamwork, decision-making, setting goals, trust, tolerance, and other qualities that are necessary for success in athletics and in life – all through the sport of football. More than 125,000 youngsters have participated in Bayless’ camps across the country, making it the largest free football camp in the U.S. Past participants include three individuals who have gone on to become Heisman Trophy Winners—Reggie Bush, Ricky Williams and Rashaan Salaam—and two who went on to become the first overall pick in the NFL Draft—Alex Smith and Dan Wilkinson.

“2009 is going to be another great year for the Martin Bayless Football Camp. We have been very fortunate for the generosity of Cricket as an annual sponsor,” said Bayless.  “I encourage Dayton-area businesses to make a difference in their community by supporting our camp and the positive experiences it provides for Dayton’s youth.”

Cricket is a proud supporter of the camp and Bayless’ work with children in the community, this year Cricket has donated six wireless phones and service for use during the Dayton camp. “The Cricket phones will definitely make the camp run more smoothly by improving communications between the different NFL players and coaches involved,” said Bayless. “We hope other local companies will follow suit and support our goals and help us to inspire even more children this year.”

Bayless, a Dayton native, is an instrumental role model, coach, and leader in the sport of football.
