“The Albuquerque community is so caring. Even during tough economic times, our community came forward to help support these young students getting a head start on learning how to read. We know the students will be thrilled to receive their books,” said Jackie Guerry, district director for Cricket.
Anyone interested in supporting the Albuquerque Reads program can become a volunteer for the program. After completing one training session, volunteers can spend just a few hours each week teaching kindergartners to read.
