Hello Fresno! Cricket® Brings Unlimited Wireless Alternative to Fresno Residents Talk All You Want for One, Low, Flat Rate
FRESNO, Calif. - Wireless industry trend-setter Cricket Communications, Inc., a leading provider of unlimited wireless services, today announced that it will begin offering service to the Fresno area starting tomorrow, August 2, 2005. With the addition of the Fresno market, Cricket will provide a Central Valley wireless footprint for one low, flat rate that extends south to the Visalia area and north to Modesto and Merced.
"We are thrilled to finally call Fresno home," said Jeff Slarks, area general manager for Cricket's Central Valley. "We've had our eyes set on the Fresno market for quite some time and are pleased to be launching service in the market, allowing us to expand our footprint in the Central Valley to nearly 5,400 square miles. To kick off its launch tomorrow, Cricket is opening two direct retail stores in Fresno: 6460 N. Blackstone Ave and 4993 E. Kings Canyon. In addition, Cricket service will be sold through 50 indirect retailers throughout the area.

Beginning at 11 a.m., City Councilmember Mike Dages, representatives from Cricket, City of Fresno, and Mosqueda Center's little league team will conduct a dedication ceremony at the park and will be on-hand for interviews.
