Dennis Maguire Named New Area General Manager for Cricket in Phoenix
PHOENIX - Cricket Communications, Inc., a leading provider of unlimited local and domestic long distance wireless services announced today Dennis Maguire will take the lead as area general manager of Cricket in Phoenix. Maguire joined Cricket in 2000 and has served as area general manager for the combined markets of Albuquerque and Tucson for the past three years.
Maguire's main responsibilities will include overseeing all Cricket operations in the Phoenix area, including eight stores, 170 retailers and a staff of more than 100 employees. Maguire replaces Matt Stoiber who has led Cricket since its launch in the Phoenix market.
Cricket introduced its services to the Valley in 2001. In only four years time, the Phoenix market has grown to be one of the wireless company's largest markets nationwide.
Maguire brings more than 14 years of experience in wireless communications. His leadership within Cricket over the past five years and his strong past in managing both retail and indirect distribution both at the regional and national level made Maguire the perfect candidate to assume this new role.
An avid tennis player, Maguire worked as a tennis professional for the Royal Family of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from 1985-1986.
