Cricket’s College Tour Rocks Albuquerque’s UNM

ALBUQUERQUE – August 29, 2007 – Cricket Communications, Inc, a leading provider of unlimited wireless services, brought the Cricket College Tour to the University of New Mexico today. Atomic Pink, a pop punk, post-hardcore, all-girl band, rocked (location on campus) today from noon to 1 p.m.

“Atomic Pink was great. They had all of UNM rockin’ and excited about the start of the new year,” said Regan Anderson, interim district director for Cricket in Albuquerque. “The concert was a fun and entertaining way to welcome UNM students back to school, but most importantly to thank Albuquerque for its continued loyal support through the years.” 

Atomic Pink is a pop punk, post-hardcore band with a girly twist from El Paso, Texas. The band is composed of the Adame sisters – Susan, lead guitarist; Sarah, drummer; and Samantha, “Sam”, lead vocals and bassist.  Atomic Pink was formed three years ago when the band members were 16 and 17 years old. Atomic Pink has performed at venues around the country including Texas and New Mexico, opening for artist such as Dishwalla, Vanilla Ice, the Eyeliners, and Go Betty Go. The band released their first album, Freshman, in 2004. Atomic Pink is currently in the studio working on their second album, Together Till the End.
