Cricket® "Unlimited" Wireless Service Launches in Kansas City on October 3
Kansas City, MO — Cricket Communications, Inc, a leading provider of unlimited wireless services, enters the Kansas City market today. Cricket is a high-quality, affordable and predictable wireless carrier that features no signed contracts, no credit checks and no restrictive minute limits for one, low rate.
Cricket's featured wireless plan offers unlimited anytime minutes, U.S. long distance, text messaging, instant messaging and picture messaging for only $45 per month. Additional plans are offered at $35 and $40 per month.

Three retail locations offering Cricket service will open on October 3, 2006, with a fourth location opening soon after. The retail locations include Loma Vista, 8712 Blue Ridge Blvd. Suite E in Kansas City; Bella Roe Plaza, 4980 Roe Blvd., in Roeland Park; Noland Plaza, 3509 S. Noland Road, in Independence; and Black Bob Road, 135 & Blackbob, Suite 101, in Olathe (opening later). 32 premier dealers and 40 stand doors will also offer Cricket service in Kansas City.
To underscore its commitment to Kansas City, Cricket is presenting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kansas City with a $5,000 donation. This donation is in addition to proceeds raised during the Cricket Crawl through Westport that occurred on September 23 and featured a free concert with headliner Carolina Rain.
Cricket's debut festivities also include, for the first time ever, open to the public Harrah's Lucky Break Auditions, giving away a 2007 V6 Ford Mustang and retail parking lot parties. Additionally, the Cricket "K" team, equipped with great prizes and giveaways, will be downtown at the haunted houses every weekend and at other events around the city through the end of October.
