Cricket to Open New Store in Laveen, Ariz.
Laveen, AZ – November 18, 2008 – Cricket Communications, Inc, a leading provider of unlimited wireless services, announced today the grand opening of its latest store in Laveen. To celebrate the grand opening and give back to the community that it serves, Cricket will donate up to $1,500 from total sales during the grand opening weekend of November 15-16 to the Cesar Chavez Park Youth Programs.
The donation by Cricket will benefit the Playa Margarita after school programs which include arts and crafts, field trips and sports activities and are geared towards keeping local youth out of street gangs. “We are excited to not only bring new jobs to Laveen by opening a new store in the area but also contribute to the development of our future workforce by supporting the Playa Margarita after school programs,” said Gregg Humphreys, area general manager for Cricket.
The new Laveen store is conveniently located on the southwest corner of 35th Avenue and Southern. The store opened on November 15 bringing the number of Cricket stores and dealer locations in the Valley to 181.
