Cricket Unveils First-of-Its-Kind Unlimited Calling to Mexico
Tucson, AZ - Unlimited mobile phone calls to Mexico will be the newest service offered to current and new Tucson customers of Cricket Communications, Inc. Tucson has been chosen as a test site to determine customer interest in this service.
"Unlimited means just that - Cricket customers don't have to watch their minutes when calling family or friends in Mexico," said Edye Popke, Cricket's Area General Manager for Tucson. "We know our customers call Mexico on a weekly or even daily basis, and we anticipate this new offer will drive great demand."
The new calling plan means Cricket subscribers will be able to call anywhere in Mexico, at any time, without a calling card, codes or hidden fees. The plan officially launches on Cinco de Mayo when, in addition to the $45 Unlimited Access plan, customers will be able to upgrade to unlimited calls to Mexico for an additional $54 and speak to friends and family in Mexico as often and as long as they desire.
The Unlimited Calling to Mexico plan will be available only to Tucson residents throughout a 60-day trial period. Over the past two years wireless customers in southeast Arizona have expressed a significant demand for the convenience of unbridled communication with their counterparts in Mexico. Interest in the calling plan will be closely monitored to determine how Cricket will move forward with Unlimited Calling to Mexico or similar premier calling plans.
