Cricket Provides Homeless in Nashville with Free Phone Calls to Family, Friends
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Dec. 19, 2006 – No matter which holiday traditions you celebrate, spending time with friends and family makes this time of year memorable. But for many, traveling to visit loved ones or even calling them is impossible. That’s why Cricket Communications, a leading provider of unlimited wireless services, will provide free phone calls to homeless individuals at Campus for Human Development on Wednesday, Dec. 20.
“Being able to talk with someone you care about, whether on the phone or face-to-face, is a great blessing,” said Bill Boyce, Cricket district director for Middle Tennessee. “It’s very important to Cricket that everyone has this opportunity, especially those who normally can’t afford it.”
Cricket will provide phones and service for anyone to make calls anywhere in the country for no charge at Campus for Human Development, 532 8th Ave. S., on Dec. 20 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. In addition to free phone calls, Cricket will provide free doughnuts, courtesy of Krispy Kreme. Cricket has participated in this event for the past five years.
“Helping out those less fortunate during the holiday season is a Cricket tradition we are all very proud of,” said Boyce.
