Cricket Offers San Diegans Chance to Meet Local Band Switchfoot
SAN DIEGO – September 24, 2008 – Cricket wants to know… How amped are San Diegans to meet local band Switchfoot? The well known local band will perform at Cricket Wireless Amphitheatre on Saturday, September 27th. Prior to the big concert, Cricket Communciations, Inc, a leading provider of unlimited wireless services, invites San Diego locals to share why they are Switchfoot’s biggest fan for a change to win tickets to concert, as well as an exclusive pre-show party with the band.
Cricket’s first in a series of “How Amped Are You?” contests will officially roll out on Friday, September 26th, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m, at Cricket’s City Heights store, located at 5399 El Cajon Blvd. Visitors will have an open microphone to tell a judging panel why they are Switchfoot’s most devoted fan and show off their best versions of the band’s greatest hits using Cricket Wireless Amphitheatre’s signature green guitar or their own musical instruments.
Five fans will be selected to win two tickets to the concert, as well as entrance for them and a guest to the pre-show party with Switchfoot, Third Day, Robert Randolph & The Family Band, and Jars of Clay from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. with food provided by Chick-fil-A. Winners must be new or existing Cricket customers.
