Cricket Launches High-Speed Wireless Internet Service in Tucson
Tucson – July 15, 2008 – Tucson now has a new option for high-speed wireless Internet access, as Cricket launches its wireless Internet service today. Cricket Wireless Internet Service provides customers with unlimited high-speed wireless Internet access on their laptops or desktop computers anywhere in Cricket’s Southern Arizona coverage areas.
As with Cricket’s cell-phone plans, Cricket Wireless Internet customers never have to sign a contract to take advantage of the unlimited monthly access. The service costs $40 per month, but existing Cricket mobile phone customers can get the service for only $35 per month. The UTStarcom UM100C tri-band USB modem is available for $59 with a combination of instant and mail-in rebates. Cricket Wireless Internet Service customers can get online from nearly anywhere in Tucson’s coverage area.
