Cricket Launches Affordable, Unlimited Wireless Phone Services in Savannah Area
SAVANNAH – October 14, 2008 – Cricket Communications, Inc, a leading provider of unlimited wireless services, is now offering its simple and affordable mobile phone service in Savannah, Hilton Head and the surrounding areas.
Cricket is known for providing unlimited wireless services at a predictable and affordable flat rate, without requiring long-term contracts or credit checks. The company offers monthly rate plans ranging from $30 to $60 per month, which include unlimited anytime minutes, unlimited U.S. long distance, unlimited text and picture messaging, unlimited text to Mexico, unlimited Mobile Web, unlimited directory assistance and nationwide roaming minutes. Cricket customers’ home calling area includes Savannah and Hilton Head, as well as Columbus and Macon, Ga; Charleston, S.C; and Greensboro, Raleigh-Durham and Charlotte, N.C., in addition to Cricket markets in 29 states.

Cricket’s introduction into the Savannah area follows the Company’s purchase earlier this year of Hargray Wireless, LLC. Hargray Wireless’ existing subscribers have transitioned to Cricket’s unlimited service plans, and are benefiting from Cricket’s improvements to expand and enhance the network. Cricket has released customers from any contracts that may have been in place, and is in the process of refunding any deposits they may have paid. Additionally, Cricket will provide the wireless service component of Hargray’s “quadruple-play” bundle that also includes telephone, high-speed Internet, and all-digital television services in the Hilton Head, Bluffton, Hardeeville, Beaufort and Pooler areas.

Cricket will hold a news conference in the rotunda at Savannah City Hall on Tuesday, October 14, at 11:30 a.m. to officially introduce Cricket to the community and present a donation check to All Walks of Life (A.W.O.L), one of Savannah’s premier youth serving organizations with a mission “to promote and provide self-awareness through the use of poetry, hip hop and life.” Cricket takes great pride in its active and meaningful community involvement, and this financial contribution represents Cricket’s initial outreach in its efforts to be an active community partner.

o Cricket Corners: Cricket will offer Chatham Area Transit commuters refreshments and prizes at the corners of MLK & Broughton and MLK & Bull.
• Wednesday, October 15:
o Free Gas on Cricket: Beginning at 7:30 a.m. Cricket will be giving away $5,000 in free gas at location to be announced.
• Friday, October 17:
o Friday Night Lights with Cricket: Cricket will be supporting Beach and Liberty County High Schools football teams with scholarships and prizes during their games.
• Saturday, October 18:
o Cricket Party in the Park and Concert: Cricket will celebrate at Daffin Park’s Grayson Stadium with an afternoon of family fun from 4 – 6 p.m. with graffiti artists, airbrushed t-shirts, caricatures, a mobile gaming station with the chance to win an XBOX 360, as well as an evening concert featuring artists from All Walks of Life (AWOL): The P.R.O.J.E.C.T.S. II, Chelsea, Pink Kodiak, Dope Sandwich, Mafamadix, and Kid Syc, starting at 6 p.m.
