Cricket Invites Fresno Community to Test New Wireless Internet Service with Free Internet Cafés Starting Today

CENTRAL VALLEY, CALIFORNIA – December 5, 2007 – Cricket Communications, Inc, a leading provider of unlimited wireless services, is debuting a new high-speed wireless Internet option to the Central Valley, Cricket Wireless Internet Service, with a series of free Internet cafés, an online scavenger hunt and product demonstrations beginning today.

Cricket Internet cafés can be found at popular locations around the Central Valley, offering laptops loaded with Cricket Wireless Internet Service available for public use at no charge to allow visitors to see how fast and reliable the service is. Visitors to the Internet cafés will also be able to compete in Cricket’s online scavenger hunt to qualify for a daily drawing to win a FREE Cricket Wireless Internet Service card with three months of service. Additionally, a huge 9x12 foot screen will display how the new Cricket Wireless Internet Service allows anyone to access the Internet from virtually anywhere around the Central Valley, essentially turning users into their own “hot spot.”

The demonstrations will be held at the following locations and approximate times:

“Research shows that many residents don’t know that you can have high-speed wireless Internet on your laptop without having to find a hot spot or other WIFI service. These Internet cafés are a fun way to inform the Central Valley community about their choices for wireless Internet service,” said Matt Pulley, area general manager for Cricket in the Central Valley. “We’re letting visitors use Cricket Wireless Internet Service to search for unique holiday gifts, check their email, see the latest news, sports, videos, music, all for free. We want the community to see how fast and easy it is to get online from anywhere around town, even at a busy intersection!”

Similar to Cricket's unlimited mobile phone offering, Cricket Wireless Internet Service offers Central Valley residents to have unlimited wireless Internet service through their laptops from anywhere in Cricket’s coverage area for one low, flat rate with no long-term commitments or credit checks. The monthly service is just $35 per month, $30 for existing Cricket mobile phone customers. To learn more about Cricket Wireless Internet Service log on to www.MyCricketHotSpot.com.
