Cricket Hits the Street in Search of New Cricket Spokespersons in Tulsa, Who Has What It Takes to Be The New Voice of Cricket?
Tulsa - Cricket Communications, Inc., a leading provider of unlimited wireless services, is looking for local Tulsa customers to be the new voice of Cricket and star in its upcoming radio advertisements. It's all part of the company's nation-wide casting call.
This national search begins at the Cricket retail store at 71st and Memorial on Thursday, September 15, from 3 to 7 p.m.
Two professional casting directors will be on site to interview Cricket customers interested in taking center stage in the company's new ad campaign. Interviews will be held in English and Spanish.
"We are not your typical wireless company so we do things differently at Cricket," said Jodi Cozbey, District Market Manager for Cricket. "We feel it's important that our advertising reflects our customer base and showcasing our customers in our ads reflects the large cross-section of the population we serve. Plus, we are giving our customers the opportunity to become a local celebrity, and who knows - maybe one of them will get their big break!"
The Casting Call - How Do You Use Your Cricket?
Open to all Cricket customers, the casting calls will include an interview process during which candidates will be asked by a professional casting director about how they use their Cricket phone service, including who they call, what they might talk about and more. Designed to evoke a fun and customer-friendly environment, the casting calls will allow customers to show their individual personalities when talking about how they use Cricket.
"With these local casting calls we are looking for customers who have fun and lively personalities and interesting stories to tell about their use of Cricket," said Cozbey. "We're interested in how they use their phone and why they chose Cricket over other phone services. We know by talking with our customers over the years that they are a really great group of people. Now we want others to know that too."
The casting call will be held in Tulsa. Here are the details:
Candidates must be a Cricket customer either on or before the date of the casting call
Candidates should arrive at the 71st and Memorial retail store (8206 East 71st) with their Cricket phone
A casting director will be talking to selected Cricket customers one-on-one for an initial interview
Those who are chosen to be finalists will receive talent fees, a Kyocera Koi and free Cricket phone service for a year
The company plans to hold casting calls in all its markets across the country throughout the duration of the ad campaign. The first casting call was held in Pittsburgh on Feb. 5.
