Cricket Creates Phone Bank Program for Local Charities

BUFFALO – Cricket Communications, Inc., a leading provider of unlimited wireless services, has created a Cricket® Phone Bank that local charities can access for special events. Through the phone bank, non-profit organizations may borrow up to 10 phones from Cricket for fundraising and special events such as races, walks, golf tournaments and banquets.

"The phone bank allows Cricket to assist a broad-base of charitable organizations by providing valuable services that keep organizers connected during important fundraising activities," said Victor Viola, district director of Cricket Communications. "All 10 phones come with free unlimited local and long distance calls within Cricket's core service area. With the majority of fundraising activities taking place during the summer and fall, we felt this was a good time to launch our new Cricket Phone Bank program."
