Cricket Communications Names New Houston Retail Sales Managers

HOUSTON – October 24, 2007 – Cricket Communications, Inc, a leading provider of unlimited wireless services, is pleased to announce three new retail sales managers, responsible for retail marketing and sales activities throughout the Greater Houston area.  Tyrone Hodges joins Cricket as a retail sales manager, and two existing Cricket employees, Joseph Winkfield and David Gonzales, have been promoted to retail sales manager.

“Since launching in the Houston market just over a year ago, Cricket has experienced significant growth.  This growth has resulted in the creation of three new positions to manage retail operations,” said Alan Leser, area general manager for Cricket.  “Together, these gentlemen bring more than 20 years of management experience to the Houston team and I am delighted that these professionals will be managing Cricket’s retail stores as we continue to expand in the market.”

Winkfield began his career with Cricket in Memphis holding numerous positions during his seven-year tenure, including of retail sales representative, retail business manager and indirect account manager. He played a key role in the launch of Houston’s indirect sales channel.

Since joining Cricket in 2005, Gonzales has held the positions of retail business manager and indirect account manager.  He was an integral part of the San Antonio market launch in addition to supporting numerous other Cricket market launches.

Hodges brings extensive management knowledge and expertise to Cricket, having held management roles with Kroger and Frito-Lay, where he served as district sales manager. Hodges holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Florida Institute of Technology.
