Cricket Celebrates the Grand Opening of it’s Las Cruces Store

LAS CRUCES – September 14, 2007 – Cricket Communications, Inc, a leading provider of unlimited wireless services, is celebrating the grand opening of a new retail store by providing families with free Ident-A-Child child identification kits. The free ID kits will be presented in partnership with the Las Cruces Police Department today at Cricket’s new retail location at 1500 South Valley Drive. The ID kits contain all the crucial information police need to find a lost or missing child, including a photograph, personal information, and fingerprints.

“We are glad to see a company like Cricket take an active interest in the safety of this community,” said Detective Mary Blowers for the Las Cruces Police Department. “Having this type of identifying information from the beginning of a search can make a huge difference in how quickly we are able to locate missing children. We hope that families will take advantage of these ID kits from Cricket.”

The free child ID kits will be given out as a part of Cricket’s grand opening celebration. Las Cruces are residents have been able to purchase Cricket service through local dealers, but this new location is the first full service Cricket retail store in the community. Many VIPs, elected officials, local business and community leaders will join Cricket executives to celebrate the opening of the new store.
