Cricket Camps Out to Stamp Out Hunger
BOISE – December 1, 2008 - Cricket Communications, Inc, a leading provider of unlimited wireless services, is camping out to help stamp out hunger this holiday season. The first annual “Cricket Camp for Hunger” food drive for the Idaho Food Bank and will run from December 1 to December 15. Cricket volunteers will camp outside of the Cricket store for 48 hours, no matter the weather, on December 11 and 12 so food can be donated anytime.
“This is an opportunity for Cricket to give back to the community,” said Matt Sevieri, district director for Cricket in Boise. “Having volunteers camping out all night to collecting donations, we can experience just a sample of what those less fortunate experience when the weather changes and financial means are limited.”
Cricket will have Idaho Food Bank collection receptacles in the Cricket store and 10 dealers throughout the Boise community:
