Are You Dying to See Hannah Montana? Cricket Has Tickets to Sold-Out Concert
SALT LAKE CITY – October 18, 2007 – Unparalleled demand to see teen idol Hannah Montana has led to a ticket shortage in Salt Lake City. The concert sold out within minutes, and though tickets are available through third-party vendors, the prices have climbed as high as $1,150 for the October 27th show. Cricket Communications, Inc, a leading provider of unlimited wireless services, recognized that this ticket shortage has led to disappointment and frustration for Montana fans and parents alike, and is pleased to announce the Hannah Montana Ticket Giveaway in partnership with B98.7.
Cricket has been accepting contest entries in all store locations since October 3, and will announce the winners at an in-store event on Saturday, October 20th from 11am-1pm at the Cricket South Jordan location, at 1684 W. Towne Center Drive (10600 South and Redwood Road). Late entries will be accepted at the South Jordan store location until 11:00 a.m. the day of the event.
“I think the Hannah Montana craze hit everyone by surprise, and the fact that tickets were gone so quickly really disappointed a lot of families, including mine!” said John Willardson, area general manager for Cricket. “We’re happy to be able to make some of these kids’ dreams come true, and we invite everyone in Salt Lake to come out and have some fun at our Hannah Montana day.”
Activities include a Hannah Montana dress-up contest, singing contests, free Cricket cookies, phone giveaways and lots of prizes. Three lucky winners will receive a family four-pack of Hannah Montana tickets to be given away that day.
