Cricket PAYGo is a prepaid product. You purchase service in advance by adding funds to your account. As you use your service, you’ll decrease the funds in your account. Just top-up when you start to run low to keep using your Cricket PAYGo service.
With Cricket PAYGo, you select from five simple options that let you choose to pay by the month or only pay for the days you use. Whatever plan you select, when you pay your access fee, you’ll have access to all the unlimited features included with your plan, as well as other services and features for an additional charge. You will never be charged for things outside of your control (like receiving a text message or letting an incoming call go to voicemail), for managing your account (for example, calling Customer Care or *PAY), or certain other services (like calling 911 or browsing the Cricket storefront).
To help you keep your service uninterrupted, we’ll remind you to top-up when you place a call if your account balance is $5 or less or if your account has five days or fewer to expiration. You’ll have the option to continue to your call or connect to *PAY to top-up. If you don’t have enough funds in your account to pay for a service, we’ll let you know. You’ll need to top-up before you can use that service.
With Cricket PAYGo daily plans, you’re only charged on the days you use your phone. When you use your phone for the first time on a given day, your account is charged ($1, $2, or $3, depending on your plan). For the rest of the day (until 11:59 PM PT), you have unlimited access to all the unlimited features included in your plan. Additional services are charged per use (such as 411 directory assistance) or per minute (such as roaming).
With Cricket PAYGo monthly plans, you get a full month of service for one low rate. For the entire month, you have unlimited access to all the unlimited features included in your plan. Additional services are charged per use (such as 411 directory assistance) or per minute (such as roaming). We automatically start your month of service when you have enough funds in your account to pay for your plan. If you don’t, we’ll remind you to top-up and your new month of service will start when you’re ready – just add enough funds to cover your plan and your new month will start right away. Don’t worry -- we’ll never change you late fees or penalties if you decide to wait before starting a new month.
Cricket PAYGo offers UNLIMITED communication to anyone, on any network, at any time in the US. Unlike other services, we don’t limit your unlimited calling to a few of your friends or family, our customers, or specific times of the day or week. With us, you’re always UNLIMITED!
You can use your Cricket PAYGo phone in any Cricket coverage area. Additionally, Premium Extended Coverage (which allows you to use Cricket service outside of your Cricket coverage area without incurring roaming costs) is included with all Cricket PAYGo plans, except the $1 per day plan. If you’re in a Cricket roaming coverage area, you’ll see a roaming indicator on your phone and we’ll play a message before connecting your call. Roaming rates will apply (25¢ per minute) and not all features on all phones are available while roaming.
No. We do not check your credit, or require a contract, deposit, or monthly commitment. We do offer monthly service, but you choose when you start a new month of service – we’ll never charge you late fees or penalties if you decide not to start a new month right away.
Maybe, any phone that is compatible with the Cricket network is eligible for activation on Cricket PAYGo daily plans; however, Cricket Wireless phones are not eligible for Cricket PAYGo monthly plans.
Yes, but you will lose all funds in your account and will probably have to buy a new phone from the other wireless company. Transferring your number is handled by the other wireless company. Please contact the other wireless company for details on how to do this.
Yes. Cricket top-up cards/PINs and phones can be purchased at retail locations and given as a gift to new or existing Cricket PAYGo customers. The expiration period does not begin until the top-up has been applied to the account, so you don’t have to worry the funds will expire before you give your gift.
Yes, you can move your existing phone number to another phone at any time. There are no discounts available to upgrade to a new phone and you will not be eligible for the $5 service credit. There is a $15 charge to make this change.
