  • Buy music on your PC for $.99 per song.
  • Buy 2 copies of each song, one for your PC and one for your phone for $2.25 per song! That's a discount of $.73 per track!
  • To enjoy music on your Cricket phone, you will need the following:

  • Music-Capable Handset - your phone needs to have a music player on it to play tracks. If you want to download music to your phone, it will also need to be capable of using Cricket's high-speed 3G network.
  • Memory Card - Cricket carries memory cards ranging from 1GB - 4GB
  • Headset - Cricket carries several different headsets that you can use with your phone. Ask your sales rep which one is compatible with your phone and which one bets fits your needs.
  • USB Cable and Cricket's Music Manager software if you plan to move your music from your PC to your phone.

how to use Cricket's mobile music

  • Signing up for the $5 Music Plan:

  • You can sign up for Cricket's Monthly Music plan from your phone or by talking to any Cricket sales rep. It is $5 per month and gives you 3 credits per billing cycle to use towards music downloads.
  • Downloading Music to your Phone:

  • To download music to your phone, open your Mobile Web browser, click Cool Stuff and then Mobile Music. This will take you to the Music Storefront where you can purchase and download tracks to your phone. The price for each phone copy of a track is $1.99 per song and is paid for using your Flex Bucket funds.
  • Sideloading Music from your PC to your Phone:

  • To move tracks from your PC to your phone, you will need a USB cable compatible with your handset and Cricket's Music Manager software. You can buy a compatible USB cable from your local Cricket store and get a free copy of Cricket's Music Manager software on a CD from a Cricket store. You can also download a free copy of the Cricket Music Manager software within the My Account section of this site. Log in to My Account and under Additional Services, click on Download Mobile Music App.
  • Once the software is installed on your PC, open the application on your PC and it will locate music files that you can transfer to your phone. Connect your phone to your PC using the USB cable and the software will walk you through the file transfer process.
  • Saving tracks to your phone's memory card:

  • Once you've downloaded or transferred tracks to your phone's memory, you will want to move it to your memory card to maximize the storage space for your tracks. To do this, simply, go to the media gallery on your phone, select the track you want to move, select manage and then move. The track will automatically be moved to your memory card.
  • Playing your music:

  • To play your music on your Cricket phone, enter your phone's media gallery and then select the music player. Select Yes when it asks you if you want it to search for music files on your phone. From here, you can manage and listen to your music. You can find music by Artist, Albums, Songs and Genres.
  • Wanna be your own DJ? You can also set up and manage playlists from here so that you can rock out to your favorite tunes in your own way! Select Playlists and then Create Playlist to create your very own mix! Be sure to label your Playlist so you can reuse it later.
