Quick Start Instructions
Activating your UT Starcom CDM-7000 phone
To start your Cricket service, just follow these easy instructions:
- Charge your battery overnight.
- Read these instructions and have a pen ready before you call to set up service.
- If you have signed up for Cricket service, a valid Social Security or Driver’s License Number will be required to activate your phone. Please have this information ready when you call to activate your phone.
- Once your battery is charged, call 1-800-CRICKET from a different phone.
- A Cricket representative will give you your new Cricket phone number. Please write this number in the green box on the inside of this brochure for future reference.
- Program your Cricket phone number into your Cricket phone using the instructions on the following page.
Programming your phone
NAM provisioning instructions
- Press the [PWR/END] key to turn on the telephone.
- Press the [MENU +0].
- You will see ENTER Service code.
- Enter 333333 (3 six times).
- Press the [1] key to enter the NAM 1 mode.
- Press the [1] key to enter the phone number mode and then press and hold the [BACK] key (between [SEND] and [PWR/END]) to erase the current MDN.
- Enter your new 10-digit Cricket phone number (MDN) and press the right soft key, [OK], to store.
- You will see the FSC screen.
- Press the [2] key to enter the MIN mode and then press and hold the [BACK] key (between [SEND] and [PWR/END]) to erase the current number.
- Enter your 10-digit Cricket Mobile ID Number (MIN) and press the right soft key, [OK], to store.
- Press the left soft key, [Exit], to complete NAM 1 provisioning. Your phone will reset.
