Quick Start Instructions
Activating your Kyocera Koi phone
To start your Cricket service, just follow these easy instructions:
- Charge your battery overnight.
- Read these instructions and have a pen ready before you call to set up service.
- If you have signed up for Cricket service, a valid Social Security or Driver’s License Number will be required to activate your phone. Please have this information ready when you call to activate your phone.
- Once your battery is charged, call 1-800-CRICKET from a different phone.
- A Cricket representative will give you your new Cricket phone number. Please write this number in the green box on the inside of this brochure for future reference.
- Program your Cricket phone number into your Cricket phone using the instructions on the following page.
Programming your phone
- Turn on your phone using the (RED POWER/END) button (fig. 1)
- To program your phone, press *228 SND and listen for instructions.
- If your phone fails to program over the air, please refer to the keypad instructions below.
- From the Main Screen (displaying time and date), enter 111111 (1 six times) then the options soft key (fig. 2)
- Press the up button once to highlight “Service” (fig. 3)
- Press OK button (fig. 4)
- Press the down button once to highlight “Programming” (fig. 5), and press OK (fig. 4)
- You will see “Enter Security Code:”
- Enter 333333 (3 six times)
- You will see “Srvc Options”
- Press the down button once (fig. 5), then press OK (fig. 4) to select MIN
- Press and hold the back button (fig. 6) for 2 seconds to remove the existing number
- Enter your new Cricket phone number
- Press the OK button
- If a different directory number needs to be programmed
- Press the down button (fig. 5) twice, then press OK (fig. 4) to select MDN
- Press and hold the back (fig. 6) button for 2 seconds to remove the number
- Enter the 10-digit directory number
- Press OK (fig. 4)
- Turn off your phone (red power/end button) (fig. 1)
- Programming completed. Your phone will reset.
