Quick Start Instructions

To start your Cricket service, just follow these easy instructions:

Charge your battery overnight.
Read these instructions and have a pen ready before you call to set up service.
If you have signed up for Cricket service, a valid Social Security or Driver’s License Number will be required to activate your phone. Please have this information ready when you call to activate your phone.
Once your battery is charged, call 1-800-CRICKET from a different phone.
A Cricket representative will give you your new Cricket phone number. Please write this number in the green box on the inside of this brochure for future reference.
Program your Cricket phone number into your Cricket phone using the instructions on the following page.

Turn on your phone (red power/End button)
To program your phone, press *228 SND and listen for instructions.
If your phone fails to program over the air, please refer to the keypad instructions below.
From the Main Screen (displaying time and date), enter 111111 (1 six times) then the OK button
Press the down button once to highlight “Programming,” and press OK
You will see “Enter Security Code:”
Enter 333333 (3 six times)
You will see “Srvc Options”
Press the down button once, then press OK
Press and hold the clear button (clr) for 2 seconds to remove the number
Enter your new Cricket phone number
Press the OK button
If a different directory number needs to be programmed
1. Press the down button twice, then press OK
2. Press and hold the clear (clr) button for 2 seconds to remove the number
3. Enter the 10-digit directory number
4. Press OK
Turn off your phone (red power/end button)
Programming completed. Your phone will reset.
