Cricket ‘Employs’ Green Solution For Less Green Pastures

When Cricket needed to clear blackberry brambles from its cell tower sites in Oregon, Keith Casey, network operations manager, called Georgina Stiner at Goat Rental NW.  It wasn’t long before 20 of Stiner’s best “employees” reported for their first day of work. This job is a trial for the company, but Casey said he expects to go on contract with Goat Rental NW for 30 or 40 of the company's approximately 260 cell sites in Oregon and Washington — the ones with the worst blackberry problem.

This September, a team of Cricket Buffalo employees, Hospice Buffalo/Essential Care for Children volunteers and staff, Make a Wish Foundation of Western New York, Centennial Homes representatives and local business partners coordinated by Rebuilding Together, welcomed Buffalo natives Sal and Justin Zirpola to their newly remodeled home in the Seneca Babcock neighborhood.

Cricket Houston Makes 3,200 Sandwiches for Kids Meals

September 7, 2010 - As families across the country were prepping  to head back to school, the Houston team kicked off their year-long partnership with Kids Meals, a local organization dedicated to providing free lunches to children in need. The Cricket team coordinated a “Backpacks and Snacks” donation drive that ran for two weeks across 94 Houston area Cricket stores where local residents could donate backpacks, school supplies, juice boxes, and healthy, non-perishable snack-food items.

Reno Fans Begged for Beiber

The Cricket Reno team partnered with Alice 96.5 FM to give away one of the last pair of tickets to one lucky winner of the “Beg for Bieber” contest.  The event was held at the Smithridge Shopping Center at 5009 S.McCarran Blvd on Saturday, June 12th. Contestants begged for tickets and the audience selected the winner by texting in their favorite “Bieber Begger”.  Fans also designed their own T-shirt and received exclusive Bieber buttons, all while enjoying some free food from Little Caesars.

Cricket Participates in Farmer’s Market

The Cricket Reno team participated in the Sparks Hometowne Farmer's Market held on Victorian Square in downtown Sparks this summer.  Market goers were able to design their own, FREE t-shirt from Cricket and receive information on Cricket’s new smartphones and expanded nationwide coverage.
