Little Rock Team Answers the Call for the MDA

The Cricket Little Rock team spent Labor Day this year answering the call in the fight against Muscular Dystrophy – literally - by answering phones for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) Telethon. Several years ago a Cricket team member, Ernie Lewellen,  lost his battle with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS - Also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease), a form of Muscular Dystrophy. Knowing that families like Ernie’s could benefit from all that the MDA offers, the Little Rock market became partners with the MDA in this fight and hopes to help with more projects throughout the year.

The telethon increased their donations by $15,000 over last year and the Cricket team hopes it can help increase that number to even more next year!  The Little Rock and Jonesboro markets collected $2,200 earlier this year by selling Shamrocks to help support this organization.

This is the first year the team worked with the MDA for this project, but will definitely not be the last!
