Cricket Wireless volunteers in El Paso helped to decorate the Ronald McDonald House for the holidays. Lights, trees, ornaments, ribbons and bows adorned the one story home in El Paso that houses up to 10 families. Volunteers helped prep the home for the annual lighting on December 13th, 2011 at 6:30pm.
The Ronald McDonald House Charities provide a "home away from home" for families of seriously ill children receiving treatment at nearby hospitals. Some children must travel great distances to get medical attention. In-hospital treatment may last one day, one year or longer. For these children's families, accommodations can be hard to come by. Options often are limited to costly hotels or uncomfortable hospital chairs and benches. The Ronald McDonald House of El Paso provides a comfortable, supportive alternative.
