We are very excited to announce that Cricket will be an Official Partner of the Colorado Rapids for the 2012 season!  The Rapids are one of the original teams to join Major League Soccer (MLS) in 1996.  They have enjoyed recent success by winning the 2010 MLS Cup, and look to continue that success in 2012! 

The fit is great for Cricket, because the Rapids’ fan profile mirrors both Cricket’s core AND Value Seeker segments.

As a part of the sponsorship, some of the Rapids international players and coaches have received Cricket phones with International Long Distance and Global Local Number features.  This will allow their family and friends to call the player's or coach's Cricket phone without making an international call.  Another feature that the players and coaches are excited about is MUVE Music.  With MUVE Music, players will be able to create playlists with their favorite songs, and also share those playlists with their fans via the Interactive Jumbotron feature. 

Below are some of the other elements included in the sponsorship:

• On-Site activation at 10 home games
• Pre-Game Video Spot for all Rapid home matches, as well as a Post-Match Highlight video powered by Muve Music on Altitude Sports TV.
• Retail Activation Incentive Program—will run a promotion for 2 free Rapids tickets with purchase of new phone/new line of service (late 2Q)
• Halftime In-Stadium Interactive Jumbotron Feature—We will show one of the players’ Muve Music playlists and the fans can guess which player created that playlist.
• Signage—Cricket will not only have signage inside the stadium, but on the surrounding 24 fields as well.   
• Stadium LED - Exclusive name and logo exposure on the LED rotation for all Rapids regular season home matches.

We believe the sponsorship is a great fit for Cricket, and will give us a lot of opportunities to demonstrate how far Cricket has come in the past few years in Colorado.  We look forward to meeting all of the Rapids' fans out at Dick's Sporting Goods Park throughout the successful 2012 season!
