In the second year of partnership with Rebuilding Together, Houston partnered up with the Houston Parks and Recreation Department to bring a local soccer field back to life. A team of over 100 Cricket volunteers rebuilt and revitalized the soccer fields of Moody Park on Saturday, October 16th, 2010 to provide a place for the community, its children and their families to stay active and healthy.
In addition to the team of Cricket volunteers who came out for the project, many families and members of local organizations also showed up to lend a hand as well to complete the project in record time. Volunteers were able to lay over 50,000 square feet worth of sod, which spanned a little over one acre. The project iss a great example of what can be accomplished when a community comes together to work toward one common goal!
