On August 14th and 15th the Denver Cricket team partnered with Kyocera to launch the new ZIO Android at this year’s Mile High Music Festival. Kyocera sponsored the festival, and chose Cricket to be part of the 2-day concert to help support the launch of Cricket’s new Kyocera ZIO smartphone. The result? A 60 by 80-foot air conditioned tent cleverly named, “The Kooler.”
Upon entering The Kooler, visitors were instantly chilled out by misters spraying down from the ceiling. Live ZIO handsets were showcased for concertgoers to interact with, along with a make-your-own flipbook area and “Design Your Own” bandana section. Rock Band skills were tested, Cricket broadband-powered laptops offered the chance to win VIP upgrades, and people powered up their phones at the Charging station. Folks lounged around on beanbags and watched live concert feeds of the 5 different stages on TV screens. The Kooler even featured live acoustic sets and special appearances from some of the artists performing at the festival. And for those that weren’t able to make it to the Mile High Music Festival, nearly 70,000 guests logged onto mycricket.com and watched the exclusive live webcast of the show. It was a great weekend filled with fun, music and “Kool” times had by all!
