Procurement Goals and Policy

The Cricket's supplier selection process is a thorough exercise that is expected to bring our organization the best possible value, that is products and services of high quality at the lowest available cost. Although we favor strong supplier relationships, and multi-year agreements where it makes sense, competition remains at the heart of our procurement policy and the approach Cricket takes is that if a supplier has the capability and capacity to meet a particular Cricket requirement it should be given a reasonable opportunity to bid for Cricket work. Our procurement policy abides by all applicable laws, rules and regulations in procuring products and services.

The procurement policy is implemented in agreement with recognized standards of business conduct and Cricket's internal Purchase of Goods and Services Policy. Employees involved in the procurement process must consult with Cricket's procurement department for additional information about interpreting and administrating this policy.

Cricket's procurement department works closely with all functional areas and support functions within the organization to coordinate the acquisition of goods and services. Strategic Sourcing is a collaborative effort however it is lead by the procurement department. As such, suppliers' first point of contact for any new business opportunity should be the procurement department.

Cricket is committed to preserving our environment by implementing sustainable business practices that reduce our reliance on natural resources, including working and partnering with suppliers whose products, services and business practices are aligned with Cricket's Green Procurement Policy.

Our supplier selection process offers appropriate consideration of qualified, certified Minority, Woman, and Disabled Veteran-owned Business Enterprises. Further details can be found by clicking on the Supplier Diversity link.
